Couldn't decide whether to go with the back up tie or not this morning.
* If you don't already, I highly recommend you keeping a spare tie at your cubicle. You never know when it might come in handy (wardrobe malfunction, impromptu executive meeting, blood/crip visitation, etc).
Red or Blue pill: Trying to decide what tie to go with

Perfecting my spidey stance
White striped shirt, khaki pants and I decided to throw a blue vest into the mix.
Ended up turning into decent-looking ensemble, in my opinion.
If there is anything you pick up from reading this blog, let it be the following: Don't be afraid to try different looks. It helps you both develop & propagate your own distinct sense of style.

Big fan of the shirt pattern/colorway, the shirt material, not so much. I can't stress it enough: aside from the appearance and fit of a shirt, make sure you are satisfied with the material. This can be difficult to do, especially if the shirt is wrapped in plastic, but it's definitely worth it in the end.

Sported another floral pattern tie today...
Notice that the tie was way too long. I'm normally not a fan of rules (created by others at least) when it comes to corporate attire, but there's one I do agree with: Having one's tie reach down to the belt. There's little middle ground here, if you don't get it right your tie will either hang way below the belt or way above it (looking like you stole an Ethiopian's bib).
I ended up readjusting the tie by the way...

Continued where I left off yesterday with another dandy outfit. This time I paired a skinny tie with one of my most hated and loved shirts. Most hated/loved by who? Me of course. While I love the colors of this shirt, I 'm not a fan of the material, as it is very wrinkle-friendly. Nothing like spending an hour trying to iron a shirt only to have it come out looking like an origami project gone turribly wrong. Not cool. Like the shirt/time combination though.
