Could see myself pairing this tie with this shirt again...

Suit: Jos A Bank / Shirt: Calvin Klein / Tie: Old Navy / Belt: GAP

Continued with the pocket-square approach in regards to my tie. i.e. not having it match any other color of the outfit.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained...

Shirt: Calvin Klein / Tie: Calvin Klein / Belt: GAP / Pants: Claiborne

Surprised I haven't selected this outfit more often, the individual items (tie, shirt, pants) seem to complement each other well.

Never thought of combining this shirt and tie before.

Worked out, imo.

Hello world.

3 solid individual pieces that match up nicely, imo.

Shirt: Calvin Klein / Tie: Jos A Bank / Vest: Club Room / Belt: GAP / Pants: Calvin Klein

Threw a vest into the mix today.

Personal preference, but I generally like to have the vest color contrast the outfit.

Wore a Crispy Klean, or CK-inspired outfit today. Nothing crazy, just granted PT to several starters coming off of IR.

* Hello Gents, sorry it's been a while since my last post. Work has ratcheted up a bit, not to mention there is talk of me moving to our corporate offices on the East coast. I'm not too jazzed about the prospect of moving out there just before blizzard season hits over there, but I am thoroughly geeked at the opportunity to move to a region with a moderate climate. Cold weather = More clothing layers = More clothing options.

On to our regularly scheduled program:

Wore one of my all time favorite tie and shirt today. Love the texture on both as well as the vibrant color of the tie. Too ill!

The shirt/tie pairing would look even better with black slacks, imo.

Shirt: Calvin Klein / Tie: Calvin Klein / Belt: GAP / Pants: Kenneth Cole Reaction

Wore the Calvin Klein starter kit again, with lighter colored pants. Like this get-up as well, it exudes a more casual/West Coast vibe.

Shirt: Calvin Klein / Tie: Calvin Klein / Belt: GAP / Pants: Roundtree/Yorke

Wore the Calvin Klein starter kit today, lol. The shirt and tie were already paired with each other at the CK Woodbury Commons outlet store. The shirt looks great, although I'd prefer for the cotton to be a bit thicker. Its thin, not as soft and wrinkles easily, unlike the other Calvin Klein shirt I raved about.

Just goes to show you that you have to view business attire on an individual basis. Cuts, sizing, and/or fits can vary greatly within the same brand.

I really like this outfit. The shirt fits well and so do the pants. Let see: On paper this doesn’t seem very original (understatement of the year): The ubiquitous, corporate-issue baby-blue shirt (fits the bill like a G.I.) and khaki slacks.

Here’s what separates it from the crowd, though: texture, texture, texture.

There are 3 “dimensions” for a shirt: color, pattern and texture. I view the first 2 items as "2-D", whereas texture for me is "3-D"… the end result is that texture can make an otherwise plain (at first glance) white dress shirt downright intricate and allows for greater creativity when one is confined to basic, corporate friendly colors and patterns.
