Suit: Jos A Bank Suit / Shirt: Jos A Bank/ Tie: DKNY / Belt: GAP
As you can see I decided to sport your typical, laid-back Casual Friday attire today...
In all seriousness, its nice to have a legitimate reason to wear a suit in Southern California. Just like rain showers, such occurrences don't happen very often. Even people in church look at you funny if you stroll down the aisle sporting a suit in lieu of your typical guayabera and linen pants combo.
* Here's a tip for you your corporate high achievers out there: Most men's fashion "gurus" insist on not buttoning the bottom button on a suit/waistcoat... Not sure what to do? Keep the buttons undone, deftly take off your jacket as you enter the room, roll up your sleeves, and start typing with the passion.

So much for only pairing these pants 'strictly with linen shirts from now on.' Pants fit horribly. I really need to retire these pants.

Shirt: GAP/ Belt: Express / Pants: Perry Ellis
As with the garment worn on Monday, this shirt under normal circumstances typically serves as a role-player, usually worn to under a V-neck sweater or sweater vest to accentuate the outfit. I believe this shirt is 10 yrs old, btw. Still fits well.

Really like the shirt. It lends as formal a look as one could have without wearing a tie... Not sure what tie I could pull off with it anyway...

Guest Feature - The "All Blek Everything" Edition
Suit (custom made in Nigeria) / Charles Tyrwhitt shirt / Hickey Freeman Tie / Kid by someone else
- So I received a reader submission the other day that I absolutely had to feature. This guy obviously knows what he's doing. His comment regarding his determination to sport the tie at all costs also had me cracking up. I know all too well how that goes...
"[The] Outfit worn to my friends wedding over the weekend. Came across the Hickey Freeman tie while randomly browsing Bluefly. Once I got the tie, I planned to wear it, shirtless if I had to. Luckily I didn't have to go this route since I had a blue Charles Tyrwhitt shirt to act as a backdrop, letting the tie do all the "talking""
* If you have an outfit you would like featured don't hesitate: Reader submissions are always welcome.

Shirt: Ralph Lauren / Belt: GAP / Pants: Express (X2) / Shoes: Shane & Shawn - Floyyd
Jeans Friday. Almost forgot about these white jeans. The outfit had the ladies at the office going nuts for some reason.
I think it mainly had to do with the shoes I chose to wear today: DETNY's by Shane & Shawn. The particular model in question, Floyyd turned this outfit into a Fashion Center Satorial Play of the Day candidate.
This super-comfy shoe competently combines form and function. The perforated leather allows for breathability, the rubber outsole provides excellent grip and the shoe is extremely light.
The only issue I have with these slip-ons is exactly that: they cause my feet to slip. The padded footsole lining inside provides great comfort, but will cause your foot to slip around in the shoe if you happen to wear socks. As you guys already know, I often make sharp, deft cuts when juking coworkers in the hall or breaking down shell-shocked janitors determined to impede me from blowing up the restroom once again.

Big fan of the shirt pattern/colorway, the shirt material, not so much. I can't stress it enough: aside from the appearance and fit of a shirt, make sure you are satisfied with the material. This can be difficult to do, especially if the shirt is wrapped in plastic, but it's definitely worth it in the end.

Solid outfit. Shirt and pants may not be voted into the Corporate Uni Hall of Fame, but they are still solid team players who have the ability to make the occasional Sartorial Play of the Day.

Paired a solid colored tie with patterned pants (conservative pinstripe pattern). Usually do the opposite by selecting solid pants to wear with patterned ties.
Don't know if I'm sold on the result though...I'll have to experiment with other hues.

Shirt: Geoffrey Beene / Tie: Jos A Bank / Belt: GAP / Pants: Calvin Klein / Socks: Banana Republic
One of my favorite ties. If I'm voluntarily wearing a tie (when the casual dress code is in effect) it had better be one I'm somewhat partial to. Like the socks as well.
* Tip: If you ever have your purchase get "stuck" in the vending machine, give it a quick flying -kick. You can try shaking the machine, but you better have the upper-body strength/leverage to hold it up if it tips over. My method affords you the opportunity to roll away in the unlikely event of the machine tipping over.
* If you have the space, lay into it
** Technique to apply in confined spaces

"Jeans Friday" got moved up to Thursday so I had to take advantage of the opportunity to put some more wear on the denim. Right now these jeans are about as comfortable as sandpaper drawers.
